Association (WMA)
The Women's Motocross
Association (WMA) owns and operates the women's professional
motocross series, known as the AMA/WMA Women's
National Motocross Championship, the WMA Cup event which
is the worlds largest women's motocross event - and also promotes
women's amateur-class racing, through the WMA membership organization
at its events. The WMA has an American Motorcyclist Association
(AMA) charter and the AMA sanctions all WMA events.
The WMA website, www.WMAracing.com is
a leading motocross media outlet, focused on women, that provides
original content related to the women's motocross scene, including
how-to-get-started information and always-current news about the
WMA Championship with content-rich bios on the WMA pro riders.
The WMA website has become the go-to resource for media seeking
information about women's motocross.
The WMA is committed to the promotion of women's racing, providing the highest
quality women's motocross events and creating opportunities for women in all
areas of the sport. This year, the WMA was responsible for getting Women's Moto X Racing in the X Games (Summer X Games 14).
The WMA was founded in 2004.

Miki
Keller is an active motocross rider residing in Bend, Oregon.
From January 2000 to January 2004, she was the President for
the U.S. Women's Motocycle League.
Her major accomplishments while at the helm of the WML include:
women's pro racing highlights in the AMA Pro Racing Television
program on Espn2, women's pro motos during the AMA Pro
Racing events in front of 15,000 - 20,000 fans (per event),
increasing the number of women racing each year, women's
motocross coverage in mainstream media and in motocross media,
the creation of the event with the highest women's pro
purse and women's participation in history, and developing
a partnership with Girls Learn to Ride™ and Honda Rider
Education Centers to introduce females to the sport (now known
as the OP Girls Learn to Ride).
Prior to the WML, she
co-founded Wide Open MX Magazine, the first freestyle motocross
magazine and was Executive Tour Director for LXD, Inc for the
1998 MCD FreeRide MX Championships (one of the earliest freestyle
motocross events). She also consulted for LXD for freestyle
motocross at the X Games. From 1990 to 1996, she was the Vice
President of Marketing for Morrow Snowboards, a top-selling
snowboard brand. While in that position, she created the annual
Morrow Motocross at the Albany SX, a groundbreaking event that
combined live music (by “Strung Out” and
other bands), pro skateboarding, an air and style jump contest
(participants included Mike Metzger and Carey Hart)
and motocross racing for professional snowboarders and Northwest
motocross racers.
Keller also ran her own marketing, promotions
and event business until January of 2003. She was responsible
for a successful advertising campaign, and event and marketing
consulting for the snowboard and skateboard retail chain Zumiez,
Inc., as well as contract work for the United States Amateur
Snowboard Association, and Vans/High Cascade Snowboard Camp.
